As your reference points out
「上げる」はこの場合、仕上げる、完了する、完成させる、といった意味合いを含む。
There is a connotation of "finish doing" inside it. In the expression 炊き上げ you were referring to, the meaning is something like "already cooked", "already ready to eat".
However I am really not sure how to express this acceptation in the infinitive form... |

Quite common: 炊き上げる 44873, 炊き上げ 111234
I was curious that this たきあげ, which is in almost no refs, is far more common than 焚き上げ, which is in the usual ones. |
