It was in the text which I was reading. It gets about 71k Google hits. Your [A] link gives some examples. It is only "a + b" with the two separate parts being well covered in dictionaries, but it seems to be a general combination. You also have other similar examples in the main dictionary, e.g.,

上級管理職 【じょうきゅうかんりしょく】 (n) upper management

The above, I tend to think, describes the work role, rather than the team itself, but I don't want to get carried away with my own notions and make an amendment.
