Comments: | I think having adj-no in there is ok. When I was at university in Japan, I remember the spring semester being called "前期" and the autumn semester "後期" |

Comments: | Yes, maybe it's better not to add "adj-no" as a POS, and better to change the adjective "late-stage" to the noun form "late stage". . I agree about "third trimester" and I think "second semester" could be added too. . One dictionary has: the latter [second] half year; 《米国》 the second semester (2学期制の学校の) |

Refs: | I guess it's usually 前期 中期 後期 so "last trimester" fits in just based on that. "late (childhood, etc.)" is an adjective gloss though..? |
