it's just standard application of ~たがる. 行く->行きたい->行きたがる. ~たがる can be used with any verb to indicate "(seeming as if one) wants to ...", so i don't think this should have an entry |

I see 新和英中辞典 has this under the がる entry (along with 面白がる, 強がる and 寒がる.) It's the most common of the four. I can see the meaning matches がる, but why is it *た*がる? Isn't a bit idiomatic? |
