Comments: | The gloss (still) troubles me a bit. ますます really just means "more and more" and amplifies the verb/clause it works with. It's only when they refer to something declining that it gets the "decreasingly; less and less" meaning. I don't know how to bring that out in the gloss - maybe another sense with a note? |
