yes, i think i was in error with the restriction. gg5, nc have 'marine plant' which fits the broader description of kojien's 海中に生ずる顕花植物. though examples from dictionaries are seagrasses and also pondweeds, e.g. meikyo:
海中に生える種子植物の総称。アマモ・スガモ・イトモなど。 |

I'm a bit confused. GG5 has 海草/うみくさ glossed as "〔海藻〕 (a) seaweed" yet we've excluded seaweed from that. Is GG5 wrong? |

Looks OK, although it is a little difficult to decide if sense 2 should be here, or 海草 be a ik headword in the 海藻 entry.
Except that if you go down the second route it potentially makes indexing harder for me, so stick like this please. ;-) |
