Hi, I have just encountered a usage of 結びつく which appears to mean "lead to", and the example sentence, 彼の努力が好成績に結びついた is also translated as "His efforts led to good results". I wonder therefore if "lead to" should also be included as a definition, as it seems slightly different from those already given,
