Type of wood is ambiguous, due to ambiguity of 梓（あずさ） (which is primarily *cherry birch*). Per ja:WP, kind of wood doesn’t seem crucial:
「材質に関わらず弓のことを梓弓と呼ぶこともある。」
Thus also added more generic “spirit bow”, as that’s the focus.
“birch bow” would also be legit, AFAICT. |
