i don't think something is a 'suffix' just because it is often used in a compound. for instance the word 'ulcer' is not a suffix in english, even though it is often used in 'gastric ulcer', etc. arguably, 潰瘍 is the main part of the word, and whatever precedes it is adj-f. |
