Comments: | With the "arch" tag there's no need for the "old term ...". I guess the Wikipedia detail can be accepted. 透破/とっぱ gets some other hits. I really doubt that Wordnet entry. |

Comments: | This one was a bit difficult to track down, as it's not in any of the major online dictionaries. It is currently being used in games to describe armor, characters, monsters, etc, but without a pronunciation guide. The Wikipedia article describes it as one of the many terms used to describe "ninja" in the pre-war period before the modern terms had been standardized. The linked WordNet entry describes it as synonymous with "泥坊"/"thief". A more authoritative definition might exist somewhere, but I haven't found it online. |
