i have absolutely no idea what the original gloss was about.  there is a second sense in the refs above, but i'm not sure how to translate it:

I ran across this while looking for something else.  I don't imagine it's a very common term, but perhaps it can be expanded?  I had never heard of Mrs Grundy, but I found one definition which says a "Mrs Grundy" is "An extremely conventional or priggish person" (http://www.thefreedictionary.com/Mrs.+Grundy).  Wikipedia alludes to someone who is "overly fearful of what the respectable might think".  Perhaps one of those could be used?
