  Comments:
A bisque is fired, unglazed pottery. Bisque firing is firing pottery without glazing it first.

I have also seen this referred to using the kanji in reverse, including "焼締", "焼き締め", "焼締め", and "焼〆" and thus a similar entry should be made for that term. However, the two Japanese-English dictionary entries I was able to find for "焼締" and "焼締め”were "densification; thermal contraction" and "vitrification," respectively. It should be noted that bisque firing vitrifies pottery. Regardless, when used as a search term in Google, all forms of the word produce a large number of results for pottery.
