| Comments: | Very good observation by René. All of the other entries mentioned by Hendrik seem to have to do with おおう. I find it strange that くつがえる, to overthrow, could have anything to do with "to be clad in". I think that we should generally be cautious of adding completely new senses to fairly common words when none of the several Japanese dictionaries mention them. |
