well, the こころをいれる has a solid reference, and we should probably have an entry for it, so i think we should just accept this as it is now. maybe make a new entry for しんをいれる if you think it needs one |

I'm not certain the original reading was wrong - I think it may have been the kanji that was wrong (心 -> 芯). If you do a search on "帯に芯を入れ" you'll find a few hits.
We do have words like
おび‐しん 【帯心／帯×芯】
女帯の形を保つために入れる芯布。厚い綿布、三河木綿・河内木綿など。
so it's just possible 心 might also be allowable (although I found no hits for "帯に心を入れ").
The "to pad (a sash)" use of "(帯に)芯を入れる" isn't very common and probably isn't worth a separate entry. |
