i have sometimes used both, my criteria for that being: 1) it appears archaic
based on dictionary examples, 2) it gets fewer than 100 google hits. but i tend
to agree with you. any existing entries that have both [obsc] and [arch] should
probably be relabelled just as [arch]. this is also adj-na according to all
