<upd_detl>Going for something a little unorthodox, hoping to see what others think. Seeing as this is never read as け, we might as well put it in the kanji field. As for it not really being a kanji, neither is all the romaji, numbers and special characters like 〒 we regularly add to the kanji field.</upd_detl>

<upd_detl>It would be a bold move. I'm not sure about putting solo kana in the "Kanji" purely on the grounds that their pronunciation is irregular.
Two other comments:
- if we take this path the entry needs to be split into 3 as it would be breaking the 2/3 rule;
- to be consistent, the は entry should be converted to "は [わ} (prt) ......"
