<upd_detl>I think the truth is that it's probably basically never read ティーブイ in compounds like this one but essentially always テレビ. In the TV entry, I've previously suggested we add "テレビ" as a reading, which ended up as a note ("freq. read テレビ"). I think that works for that entry, but it's not just about that entry - we have over 50 entries that begin with the word テレビ and I'd bet the テレビ part can be replaced by "TV" in all of them. "TVアニメ" for example appears to as common or maybe more common than "テレビアニメ" on twitter. same with "TVアンテナ". I think it'd be a waste to not include these "kanji" surface forms, but having separate "TV～" entries for each one of them, with notes: "freq. read テレビ～" doesn't seem like a good solution. I think that leaves us with adding them as kanji.</upd_detl>

<upd_detl>We thrashed this around some years back in 2717290. As that "TVジョッキー" Wiki page indicates, it was usually spoken テレビジョッキー.
Maybe the time has come to make テレビ a formal reading of ＴＶ. We should have a discussion about it.</upd_detl>
