<upd_detl>I guess I agree that the hiragana versions aren't needed. At one stage I was insisting that all readings be in hiragana, but I've got over that.</upd_detl>

books (books published in 1925, 1906, 1935)...
not sure whether it would really have been read イギリス

<upd_detl>Although often used synonymously with "United Kingdom", "Great Britain" technically refers to an island. Swapping order.
I'd actually be in favour of dropping "Great Britain" altogether (but keeping "Britain"). The latter usually does refer to the UK as a whole.</upd_detl>

<upd_detl>I see 中辞典 only has "Britain" and ルミナス only has "Great Britain". Probably best to have both, in your order.
The ISO 3166 code is "gb", but the early Internet people decided to use "uk" for the domain naming.</upd_detl>

<upd_detl>Not sure what the merit is of having the old spelling of this word. The pronunciation hasn't changed. It's a bit jarring, as a Portuguese speaker. Also, it's not a proper noun in Portuguese, so no need for a capital letter at the beginning.</upd_detl>
