The kokugos (daijr/s, koj) are fairly general and don't mention Hiroshima or Nagasaki specifically.
I assume this word could also be used in fictional contexts unrelated to those two bombings. And in non-fictional contexts in our future.</upd_refs>

I think 被曝者 should be a separate entry. 被爆者 wouldn't be used for victims of the Chernobyl disaster.</upd_detl>
