I don't think this is used for modern editions of the game, which are simply known as すごろく.</upd_detl>

<upd_detl>The problem with "sugoroku" as a gloss on すごろく is that すごろく is used widely both for traditional Edo period prints and modern racing games. In English, "sugoroku" is only used for the older Japanese prints. In foreign museum collections etc., they'll be described as "sugoroku" rather than e-sugoroku (as a general rule).</upd_detl>
