<upd_refs>Junky is in some dictionaries as a variant spelling of "junkie" so I guess these can stay togwther?

On twitter, most results are names of anime etc. characters, those that weren't (where it was clear what they referred to) all referenced fast food rather than drug addicts.

"junk" maybe works as an adj gloss?</upd_refs>

<upd_detl>Sankoku puts them in one entry. I think it's OK.
I don't think the "junk" sense should lead. None of my refs except sankoku have it. Most of the "word explainer" sites either don't mention it or put it at the end.</upd_detl>

<upd_detl>I think we need to make up our mind on sense order and formulate a clear policy on it. I think we should heavily prioritize actual usage, with some exceptions, but I don't think "the kokugos lead with x" should be one of those when that usage is uncommon.</upd_detl>

<upd_detl>I'm seeing plenty of examples of sense 2 on Twitter. I suspect that "junkie" is the more common meaning outside of social media.
Also, as the "junk" sense is technically wasei, I don't think it can come ahead of the "junkie" senses. I wouldn't object to splitting it off into a separate wasei-tagged entry.</upd_detl>
