<upd_detl>The original entry was added by an NSJ who was usually very reliable. I'm reluctant to strip it out without a case. Perhaps it's an abbreviation.
The JEs also lead with a literal meaning of weighing something. Perhaps that should be included as another sense?</upd_detl>
