<upd_detl>不連続線 is what weather front's used to be called, but now they are more commonly referred to as 前線.

Hardly any English speaker would understand "line of discontinuity" in the context of weather, whereas "weather fronts" are a much more common concept, and should be taken as the primary definition/translation.</upd_detl>
