<upd_detl>This use of "confinement" only adds confusion, and actually appears to be completely distinct from the "confinement" I've removed from all of the childbirth entries.  It would seem that to the extent "postpartum confinement" belongs, it would belong in [2], not [1].  

Even though sankoku has only [1], an image search (nothing scary) suggests that [2] is actually a common meaning.  Perhaps *the* common meaning.  (No societal need for [1] these days...)</upd_detl>
