<upd_detl>I think both of these usage notes are redundant. The [suf] tag explains how 山 attaches to names.

The "honorific mountain name" context is explained by the cross reference. A few of my kokugos just have 「寺」 or 「寺院」 for sense 2.</upd_detl>
