<upd_detl>When the glosses got changed from [n] to [adj] "exhaustiveness" got dropped.  It appears to me while reading around that the "thorough" ("exhaustiveness") nuance of the derived 懇切丁寧 comes from the 懇切 half.</upd_detl>
