「おともだち」という言い方について。
Q:親の私ですが、知らない子の事をお友達と呼ぶことに抵抗があります。
お友達と呼ぶ人が多いと思いますが、
同年齢くらいの子、もしくは年下の子が周りにいて、
お友達以外でなんと呼ぶ方法がありますか?
BA:私も抵抗があります。お友達じゃないじゃんね・・・って。
なんか意味わからん、と思うので、「他の子供さん」っていいます。公園で知らない子の三輪車とかに興味を示したときとかに「それは他の子供さんのだからダメだよ~」って。
Other answers:
「お友達」というのは、あまり親しくない子に対して使うことが多いと思います。
親しい子なら、名前で呼びますし、「友達」といいます。「お」が付くと他人行儀な感じで親しくない印象が強いです。

一番差しさわりがないかな~?って感じで、私は知らない子も「おともだち」って言います。

<upd_detl>I think [chn] should include words used by adults when speaking to children. I mean kids only say あんよ etc. because that's what their parents use those words with them. I'm sure some toddlers pick up on this to some extent too. I don't really think the note is necessary.</upd_detl>

<upd_detl>I wasn't familiar with this use of the word but after reading various online discussions about it, my impression is that it's not used by children at all. I think we should indicate this in some way or another if we're tagging it as children's language. Maybe something simple like "used by parents, guardians, etc."</upd_detl>

I think [chn] is best kept for children's language, and if there enough cases to warrant it another tag created for "used by parents, ...".</upd_detl>
