<upd_detl>In that case I'll add it with the arch tag, if that's OK. As a reference, the word is found in a spell description (link above) from a famous videogame from 2016, so I think having this entry might prove useful to someone.</upd_detl>

<upd_detl>A native japanese speaker was so kind as to give me his thoughts regarding 破綻 in the context of my example sentence (from the prev. ref.), link above.
Despite the added meanings appearing in some dictionaries, likely I had misunderstood what 破綻 meant in that context, and there is actually a third meaning for 破綻, from his example sentence: "「彼の話は破綻している」(日常会話では「筋が通っていない」と表現されます)".
I leave this info here in case someone wants to improve this entry further.</upd_detl>

<upd_detl>Interesting. I note that the official translation uses "fragmentary scrawl", which aligns very closely with the native speaker's interpretation.
As for the "third meaning", I think it's covered by sense 1, which we've kept very general.</upd_detl>
