<upd_detl>This dictionary's "preferred" spelling of one-who-worships appears to be "worshipper" (which is theoretically the British preference, but also seems common in U.S. English along with "worshiper"). For this reason, in cases where only one appears, I think "worshipper" should be used.
Particularly unfortunate here to have two synonymous entries with two different English spellings.
I actually think this gloss may be incorrect, and will probably put in a separate vote to delete shortly. (I am looking at worshiper/worshipper terms).</upd_detl>

<upd_detl>Not on twitter, maybe 3? real results on google books.
One google book result:
cutting out the middle...
今の日本は...拝金主義の固まりになっています。
I think my vet has used かたまり in the past to communicate to my the idea of a lump or mass that may-or-may-not be cancerous. I suspect 塊 is used here in this figurative sort of way, the way we might say "Has become a cesspool of money-worship", or something like that.
Unless someone has a kokugo or something to support this, this looks like a fairly rare rhetorical flourish that does more harm than good as an entry here.</upd_detl>
