I'd like to squeeze "temper tantrum" in here, and the mix of "throw"/"have" in this expression is one chance to do that. (Could xref to 癇癪 with extra glosses too).

sankoku's definition is literally 腹を立てる. That seems a bit lacking in nuance.

*news* results are all articles about parenting and children.

Searching wikipedia does see this used as adult males becoming violent (towards wives, etc.).</upd_detl>

「かんしゃくを起こす」はthrow a tantrumと言います(^_^)

<upd_detl>I really don't see the need for both "to throw a tantrum" and "to have a temper tantrum (esp. of children)".,  especially when we already have "to lose one's temper". I also think the original order was better.</upd_detl>
