<upd_detl>GG5 seems to think they're OK (and English dictionaries agree), but certainly, you're unlikely to see "dispiritedly" or "downheartedly" in proper writing.
Because JMdict is primarily for English speakers, I don't think glosses have to sound natural; the important thing is that the meaning is conveyed.
For that reason, I don't have a problem with awkward adverb glosses here.
But I can see why others would disagree so feel free to change them.</upd_detl>
