<upd_detl>Looked for "residence status", couldn't find, checked my residence card to find 在留資格, looked it up and found this entry.

I think "residence status" is so common colloquially that it is worth having here just for lookup purposes ("status of residence" is both more common, and more technically correct, if there is such a thing).</upd_detl>
