wikipedia seems to indicate that this is *technically* a subset of what would be colloquially called geraniums.

I see the xref is already "usually a cultivated Pelargonium". 

Maybe someone would be interested in entering this name in the appropriate style (I'm not quite sure how to say this is always a Pelargonium, which would be considered a geranium  ).  If no one thinks it's worth it, I am not pushing for the change.  Happy myself with the katakana form + xref.

Thought about [rare], but 3000 ngrams and perfectly common on twitter.  Just uncommon vs. xref.

Confusion with Pelargonium:
