Interesting that wikipedia doesn't know about フローティングベスト (not just the life vest article, it appears nowhere).

All searches on Mercari return what you'd expect, except that "フローティングベスト" seems to lean toward "tactical"/"utility"/"sportsman"-looking vests. Perhaps fisherman focused.</upd_detl>
