<upd_detl>I don't think [med] is enough to undo the implications of "irritability", so I added a parenthetical.  Search wikipedia and you'll only get 5 hits for this. 4 fit this simple definition. The other is on Ritalin and ADHD.

The article isn't about being "perturbed" so much as "negatively affected in an unsupressable way" by outside stimuli.

If "irritability" is used in an ADHD context in English, it can't be separated from the image of an upset person.  I'm not quite sure this has the same implications in Japanese... but this is beyond me.

What I feel relatively confident about is that laymen don't use this to describe each other as "irritable".　(basically non-existant on twitter, mostly a few Chinese references)

I'd mark as [rare], but it's correct as medical jargon.</upd_detl>
