<upd_detl>sankoku has a separate entry for 横っ腹 that simply says:
【話】=>よこばら
n-grams don't really reflect what people say allowed, who knows. sankoku, nikk, and daijs all list the alternate pronunciation under the 横腹 entry.
I see there is a separate 横っ腹 entry. That doesn't change the reading here. furigana.info says of 横腹 (with examples):
よこっぱら 29.7%
よこばら 27.0%
よこつぱら 16.2%
https://furigana.info/w/%E6%A8%AA%E8%85%B9
Maybe these two entries should be merged with a note?</upd_detl>
<upd_refs>横腹 29761 56.7%
よこばら 80 0.2%
よこっぱら 252 0.5%
横っ腹 22407 42.7%
nikk, daijs confirm.

<upd_detl>Our usual practice is to have separate XX and XっX entries, as does GG5 and most of the JEs. It may be appropriate to have the よこっぱら as a search-only for this one. Note that よこっぱら is NOT a reading 横腹, despite what some sites may say.
Leaving this open for comment.</upd_detl>
