<upd_detl>I also saw "condoler" somewhere.  I feel reasonably confident that "condolence caller" would not be a very good gloss in modern English, even if "condolence call" might be understood.

I think this has to be at the home of the deceased (or their family) (i.e. "calling on" ), and that a funeral home might not suffice.</upd_detl>
