<upd_detl>Is this really needed? BMW is sometimes abbreviated to BM in (spoken) English as well. If we want to record it, I think the names dictionary is a better place for it.</upd_detl>

<upd_detl>I'm trying to avoid the situation with some dictionary clients, such as WWWJDIC, which will show partial matches. If you look up ＢＭ you'll be offered the entries for ＢＭＤ, ＢＭＸ, etc. but not necessarily the BMW one in the names dictionary.
It's not a big deal, but I like being helpful to the users.</upd_detl>
