<upd_detl>I heard it in a TV show airing as ビップ, so was wondering if this pronunciation is more common nowadays, but my attempt at researching was inconclusive. The kokugos prefer ブイアイピー, having ビップ as a redirect. Forvo has the pronunciation as individual letters, while Youglish only has four samples, not enough to base a conclusion on (1 ブイアイピー; 2 ビップ; 1 duplicate video). Probably the most that can be said unless the refs change is that the more formal pronunciation is ブイアイピー, but ビップ is also common.
