<upd_detl>どす is apparently a colloquial derivation of 脅す・おどす. Hence the katakana.
there is now an actual entry in sankoku *without* 声
どすの利いた（句）：凄みのある「ー声」.
top n-grams already have 2 other options, 低音(a threatening low tone(of voice), セリフ (a threatening line (of speech))).
I saw the previous conversation. ドスの利いた n-grams are twice those of ドスの利いた声.
Any merit to replacing this entry with some variation of:
ドスの利いた
[1][exp,n]
intimidating (voice, tone, etc); threatening (tone, voice, etc)
Don't disagree that use continues to be predominantly voice-related, and among those predominantly 声 directly.

None of the forms seem actually incorrect in any particular way, so I'm not sure about hiding them. If I show only one どす form, it makes the others seem invalid somehow. But all of the non-kanatana forms are about as valid as the others, and together they are 10%.
