<upd_detl>Open to better/alternative suggestions.

I was trying to figure out the grammatical structure of this thing, and discovered that it is overwhelmingly used in one particular structure (or minor variations thereof).
"to have a promising future", "to have high hopes of another's future prospects", etc.

Even when not in this structure, される is almost always used. (can follow が、と、を、で,etc.)

Note particularly my referenced comparison with 期待 in the same structure.</upd_detl>

将来を嘱望される若者
例文a promising youth

many reverso examples, often glossed as "promising". saw a "they have great aspirations for the future", "outstanding potential"

In spite of 期待 being vastly more common, in this structure 嘱望 wins. I think this is remarkable.
