<upd_detl>Not irregular, just the informal causative form of 和む. Equivalent in meaning to 和ませる. We don't typically include these forms unless they're in the refs or somewhat common. This one probably makes the grade.
Might be worth having 和ませる as well, which is in GG5 (and more common than 和ます).</upd_detl>

<upd_detl>Interesting. I didn't propose 和ませる because tools such as jisho.org, yomichan, and 10ten are able to identify it as a causative form of 和む, but they are not able to do so for 和ます.

I see now that the conjugation table for 和む here in JMdictDB does display 和ます as an additional plain causative form, however.</upd_detl>
