kanwa jiten doesn't have this reading, so I'm inclined to mark it [iK] rather than

<upd_detl>I checked.  It's actually in Soseki a single time. It doesn't show up in Google results because Aozora Bunko uses an image for the kanji.  (Although I would guess that there might be other sources for a major book like 我輩は猫である online.  It's surprising that not a single one of them used text instead of images.  Maybe Aozora scanned it incorrectly?)</upd_detl>

<upd_detl>If you look here: http://glyphwiki.org/wiki/u8b43 it's in the JIS第4水準. It's possible that it was impossible at the time to reproduce the character or that it was Aozora policy not to use images for non (original) JIS characters. I also doubt  that anybody would take the time to scan and input the book a second time...

Actually, I found the Aozora gaiji policy (http://kumihan.aozora.gr.jp/externalcharacter.html) and they only allow JIS suijun 1 and 2. Others go into an image.</upd_detl>
