By the way, I think the policy on AmE vs. BrE spelling needs to be visited.
Unless it's helpful in some way (e.g. for E-&gt;J lookups), having both forms serves no real purpose and just looks odd.</upd_detl>

<upd_detl>does help e-j, which is the reason for it.  given that every single possible headword combination of furigana and kanji is usually included (incl. hiragana vs. katakana variants), having a single duplication of english spelling is one of the least awkward parts of the dictionary</upd_detl>
