<upd_detl>When the okurigana (-き-) isn't present, this is read in my refs as "くうしつ" without exception. Searching with the okurigana will, of course, yield the alternate pronunciation. I think the pairs should be split, since neither the kanji nor the readings overlap, just the meanings.</upd_detl>
