<upd_detl>I remember when I lost my wallet a while ago, the lady at the police station said "忘れ物しましたか?". It struck me as odd at first think it's a common way to use this word.</upd_detl>

<upd_detl>The を is often dropped from 〜をする expressions (especially in speech) but as long as it's more common to include the を, we don't use the vs tag.</upd_detl>
