<upd_detl>As it's a Chinese game, I don't think we should use a romanisation of the Japanese pronunciation as a gloss. We could change it to "zihua" but it's probably not helpful. I can't find any English-language references to this games.
I don't think "rare" is needed for a historical term like this.</upd_detl>

"If you're ever in Broome, Western Australia, make sure to pay special attention to where you're sitting.

You could be resting your back on a bench carved with a piece of Broome's history: a riddle from the old gambling game Chee Fah.

Also know as Chiffa and Cheefah, it was a popular game of riddles played by pearlers in Broome."

(i don't think the Japanese version used riddles at all, that might have been a later development)

<upd_detl>OK.
Interesting article. Broome was the centre of the pearling industry, and had a sizeable Japanese community in the late 19C. I've not been there, but we're booked to go there next year for a trip to the Kimberleys.</upd_detl>
