<upd_detl>In general all ハ行四段活用動詞 conjugate like this in western dialects. Note also that ウ音便 rules apply: かう → こうた for instance. Furthermore, 請う 問う and 厭う always behave this way even in the standard dialect.

Should this really get a note? 請う 問う 厭う probably should because even the IME accepts them, but if the door is opened for 買う is should be opened for virtually all ハ行四段活用動詞</upd_detl>

<upd_detl>問う et al. have their own POS: "v5u-s" for this reason. I say let 買う go in like that.</upd_detl>

This note should be eliminated as it is of no semantic value to the dictonary user. Further, in Western Japan, when conjugated in this manner, 買うて・買うた is pronunced こーて・こーた this is not mentioned in the note, which makes it misleading.</upd_detl>
