<upd_detl>but "Korean" plays the same role in "Korean person" as in "Korean national" - if it can refer to both Koreas in "... person", can't it in "... national" too? I feel the citizenship part is very important. This is often the only way these people really are Korean - by citizenship. Linguistically, culturally, they're often entirely Japanese. Some are not even fully ethnically Korean but half-Japanese but still "Zainichi Korean" by virtue of their passport.</upd_detl>

<upd_detl>"Korean people" can refer to Koreans as an ethnic group. I felt it was a more accurate term in this context. But if it's important to mention citizenship, I think this is better.
I don't think the 在日朝鮮人 x-ref should have been dropped. North Korean "Zainichi" are not 在日韓国人.</upd_detl>
