<upd_detl>I agree, but for better or worse, in the past we've used 
adj-no in cases like these (and considered the の left out 
in ドライビングフォース). The problem is that "driving 
(force)" doesn't make sense as a noun gloss.</upd_detl>

<upd_detl>The problem is we don't have a suitable *Japanese* POS for it. In this case "driving" is sometimes called a gerundive, not that English really has them. I'd prefer "adj-f". I know driving per se is not a verb, but it is derived from one.</upd_detl>

<upd_detl>I don't think the gloss has to match the PoS tag in all cases. It only makes sense to have an adjective gloss for 国際 (a noun), for instance.
I'm fine with [adj-f] here though.</upd_detl>

<upd_detl>The 国際 entry is also tagged as an adj-no, and it's 
worth noting that Kenkyusha's dictionaries (prog, gg5, 
chujiten) all avoid giving any actual translation of the 
word outside its use in compounds/as 国際的 etc.

I think an important point is that if ドライビング③ can 
only ever be used with that meaning in a compound such 
as ドライビングフォース, is it really a noun by itself?</upd_detl>
